About
I am a prêt-à-porter fashion designer and consultant with 25+ years of experience in garment design, manufacturing and trend scouting with a rich background in the European and US markets.
My experience in design work ranges from street and sports-wear to upscale design; I have been employed and contracted by iconic brands such as Stone Island, Da-nang, Joe’s Jeans, Sabotage and Delpin. In the past 10 years I ran my own business as the one of the founders and creative director for Leigh & Luca.
This diverse background has provided me with the right balance between being highly creative and at the same time having a profound understanding of business, production and the industry overall.
My active work experience includes inception/conceptualizing and developing ideas all the way to market-ready products, identifying new market opportunities, consumer research, production resources, art direction/design, team leadership/project management, design completion/development and product presentation.
I have production experience in markets such as Turkey, Italy, Portugal, China, India and Sri Lanka.
My creative approach, no matter the medium, is to find and iterate on points of tensions behind an idea. While I am drawn to the controversial and visionary, I have a keen instinct for the market and trends.
Originally from Europe where I spent my years as a head designer, my passion for design lead me to New York City where I spent 16 years cultivating my skills. Currently I live and work in Southern California and continue to travel internationally for both projects and inspiration.
